EA

Electronic arts (EA) are a multinational stand alone public company, its founder was Trip Hawkins and it was founded in 1982. It operates all over the world with game studios in Europe, America, South America, Asia and others. EA has four main labels, EA Games which covers action, adventure, role play, racing and combat games. EA Sports with makes sports games like FIFA Football, NFL Madden, Fight Night (boxing), NBA Live, NHL hockey and many more. EA Play make life simulation games like The Sims, and finally EA Interactive which converts all EA games so they can be available for mobiles. EA makes games for all game platforms such as XBOX, XBOX 360 Play station 1, 2 and 3. It makes games for Nintendo DS and WII. It also makes games for Microsoft Windows.
EA gets a lot of criticism for buying already successful games and then sometimes making them worse. This is because EA has so much going on because they are doing so many different games they don’t have time for everything. So EA gets criticism for making money.

NEWS CORPORATION !

News Corporation is a multi-national cross media conglomerate that is owned by Rupert Murdoch. News Corporation started off as a small independent newspaper publisher, and then in 1964 Murdoch made ‘The Australian’ the first national newspaper in Australia. After that Murdoch took over the ‘News of the World’ and ‘The Sun’ newspaper. In 1973 Murdoch purchased his first American newspaper ‘The San Antonio Express and News’, then in 1977 Murdock bought ‘The New York Post’ for $30 million, he continues his spending spree by buying ‘New York Magazine’, ‘Village Voice’ and ‘New West’. In 1985 Murdoch becomes an American citizen so he can buy more American companies, in the same year he took over TCF Holdings Inc. parent company of Twentieth Century Fox Film. In 1986 Fox Broadcasting is established after that Murdock takes over ‘Melbourne Herald’ and ‘Weekly Times’- Australia's largest media group. By the end of 1987 Murdoch owned sixty percent of newspapers in Australia and thirty-five percent of newspapers in the UK. Two years later The Simpson’s is made and becomes Fox Network’s biggest TV hit, at the same time Sky TV is launched. A year later ‘BskyB’ is formed after Sky merges with British Satellite Broadcasting. Accumulation of large debts leads News Corp. down the road to bankruptcy. Citibank, the company's prime lender, takes active role in saving News Corp. News Corporation has a massive sale selling New York, Seventeen, Soap Opera Digest, Soap Opera Weekly, Premiere, and Daily Racing Form. Murdoch then buys broadcasting rights for the Premier League and Australian Rugby. He later acquires Los Angeles Dodgers and Dodgers Stadium from the O'Malley family for $311 million. In 2003 Murdoch puts LA Dodgers up for sale, spends $6.6 billion for stake in Hughes Electronic, the parent company of DirectTV. A year later Los Angeles Dodgers are sold to real estate developer Frank McCourt for $430 million.
News Corporation now has newspapers and magazines in Australia, UK and America. They broadcast TV all over the world and they make film with Twentieth Century Fox. At the minute News Corporation is one of the biggest companies in the world.
If you ask me, I don’t think News Corporation should be allowed to own as much as they do. Rupert Murdoch has too much power and he can practically control the whole media with his own opinions and what he thinks is right. If anyone that works for him disagrees with what he says they will end up getting sacked. Rupert Murdock only likes his own opinion and will cut anyone off that disagrees with him.
